Indonesia: stainless plant
TsingShan Holding plans to build a stainless steel plant in Indonesia and the first stage capacity of this project will be 300,000tpy. The plant will be put into production by the year of 2011. Located in Zhejiang province, TsingShan Holding Group is a private-owned enterprise with a stainless steel capacity of 1.10 million tonnes.
China: nuclear power station supply contract
The signing ceremony for Supply Contract of Key Equipment for the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station Phase I Project was held in Dalian city on 28 March 2008, announced by Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co. Ltd (Dalian, China).
Brazil: pipeline construction
MMX Mineração e Metálicos SA’s subsidiary MMX Minas Rio Mineração SA has contracted Construções e Comércio Camargo Corrêa SA to build the slurry pipeline part of the Minas Rio System. The contract establishes the implementation of a duct system comprised of welded steel pipes along the 525km extension of the slurry pipeline.
The Netherlands: combined-cycle power plants
Nuon aims to build two efficient gas-fired power plants at existing production locations in the province of Noord-Holland, in The Netherlands. At its Hemweg site in Amsterdam, Nuon plans to build a gas-fired power plant with a capacity of 500MWe to replace the current gas-fired power plant.
India: integrated steel and cement plant
Kolkata-based Shyam Steel Industries will set up a Greenfield integrated steel and a cement plant in Madhya Pradesh (MP) with an investment of INR 1000 crore and has recently signed a deal with the Madhya Pradesh government on this regard.
